The purpose of the Advance Conference is to take gospel ministry further.

We desire to take advantage of connections we have established as a church to take the gospel ministry of Calvary Baptist Church further into the world. We seek to accomplish this purpose in part through the presentation of the Word of God and the provision of gospel ministry opportunities.

Specifically, through the Advance Conference we are asking God to help us EMPHASIZE, MOBILIZE, PERSONALIZE and REALIZE gospel ministry both locally and globally.

First, we will strive to EMPHASIZE the opportunities for gospel ministry by connecting with our missionaries, their churches, and the people groups to whom they minister; yet we admit that Calvary is in need of gospel ministry from our missionaries and their churches as well. We believe Calvary has much to offer, as well as having much to learn in regards to gospel ministry.

Second, we aim to MOBILIZE our church for gospel ministry by equipping members of Calvary for various gospel ministry opportunities which communicate the significance of the gospel, the love for brothers and sisters in Christ, and the unity of the body of Christ.

Third, we desire to help our church PERSONALIZE our relationships with our missionaries, their churches, and the people groups to whom they minister — meaning that we will present the need for each member to take ownership of their responsibilities, both privately and corporately, to minister the gospel further as part of the global work of God. The Advance Conference also provides opportunities for members of Calvary to interact on a personal level with its speakers, through lunches and dinners, as well as during informal gathering times.

Fourth, we prayerfully anticipate that Calvary would REALIZE a greater gospel partnership with our missionaries, their churches, and the people groups to whom they minister, both corporately and individually as we experience the fruit that the Lord grants through his grace.

The Savior has called each of us at Calvary to be salt and light in this world and we are excited about how the Lord might see fit to use us for gospel ministry.
